Power of Positive Thinking
“If we are basically positive in attitude, expecting and envisioning pleasure, satisfaction and happiness, we will attract and create people, situations, and events which conform to our positive expectations.” Shakti Gawain
You might be heard about this before; my question is have you aver make this mental attitude become part of your life? Really part of you, sometimes? Only when you need kind of healing? or no need to ?
According to the book written by R. Sasson, Positive thinking is a mental attitude that admits into the mind thoughts, words and images that are conductive to growth, expansion and success.
So It is a mental attitude that expects good and favorable results. A positive mind anticipates happiness, joy, health and a successful outcome of every situation and action. Whatever the mind expects, it finds. Indeed as Moslem, we always been told to be Husnuzon, not only to God, our relatives, but most important is how we can treat it to our self, not everyone accepts or believes in positive thinking. Some consider the subject as just nonsense, and others scoff at people who believe and accept it. Among the people who accept it, not many know how to use it effectively to get results. Yet, it seems that many are becoming attracted to this subject, as evidenced by the many books, lectures and courses about it. This is a subject that is gaining popularity, but here now I can ensure that the most powerful of self healing is to have positive thinking in our mind. Believe me, I’ve been there before.
Lets make an example, when I was in collage, I like to be involved in many activities,I joined one of the campus organization, called Law English club, my main purpose joining this club is how I can learn and build up my English skill with more practice, the challenge is come when the chief of the club as me to join English debate contest between university, first thing came into my mind is “why me? There are many other students have good English skill than me, I’m not that good, I just can make my team lose”…And many others negative thought appear. Since my chief don’t want to choose another student to replace me, I have to study hard try not to disappointed my team, here is positive mind gave it power in me, I try to put it inside my mind that if the chief choose me to join this competition, means that he believe I’m able to do it, why didn’t I try to think positively that I am able, I can do it..not to beat other team actually…but I am able to give my best performance for my team, I keep thinking this way and finally I won in second position of the competition, did I proud ? sure I did, but the lesson that I took from this moment is more huge than become the winner.
Is there any magic spell here? No, it is all naturally come when the attitude is positive we entertain pleasant feelings and constructive images, and see in our mind’s eye what we really want to happen. This brings brightness to the eyes, more energy, happiness and I see, I felt how powerful effect that we can get if we can be more positive to our self. Even the health is affected in a beneficial way. We walk tall and the voice is more powerful. Our body language shows the way you feel inside.
It is quite common to hear people say: “Think positive!”, to someone who feels down and worried. Most people do not take these words seriously, as they do not know what they really mean, or do not consider them as useful and effective. How many people do you know, who stop to think what the power of positive thinking means? So lets see how this positive thinking works for you too…be positive, be powerful and be happy !!
